The duo by Deepak Ram (bansuri) and Anuradha Pal (tabla) will be presenting North Indian Classical Music. Anuradha is also performing on April 3rd, 2004 with Lakshmi Shankar and Shweta Jhaveri in a presentation of World Music Institute in New York ("Masters of Indian Music").

Deepak Ram is well known for his evocative performances in traditional North Indian classical music, his collaborations with musicians of other genres, his innovative compositions and for his vast experience as a teacher. Deepak is a senior disciple of world-renowned bansuri maestro Pandit Hariprasad Chaurasia. An accomplished musician, Deepak is the recipient of Best Instrumental Album of South African Music Awards (2000) and has also been nominated as Best Male Artist and Best Instrumental Album, for South African Music Awards in 1999 and 2003.

Anuradha Pal has been internationally acclaimed as an accomplished soloist and a versatile and sought after accompanist. She is a disciple of the world-renowned tabla maestros, Late Ustad Alla Rakha and Ustad Zakir Hussain. An irrepressible creativity, tremendous clarity and a fine tonal quality along with exciting rhythmic improvisations and spontaneity are the hallmarks of her style. An unremitting devotion to practice and learning have given Anuradha a meaningful identity amongst the musicians of today helping her to carve a distinct niche of her own.
